MV Medical Management (MVMM) is a full-service management services organization that provides administrative, technical and professional support to Independent Practice Associations (IPAs) with enrollees in San Bernardino, Riverside and Los Angeles counties.

MVMM manages over 100,000 Commercial, Senior and Medi-Cal enrollees for two geographically distinct IPAs: LaSalle Medical Associates and New Horizon Medical Group. Management services provided by MVMM include the following:

Philosophy of Management

As the health care delivery system in California continues to evolve, it remains the goal of MVMM to allow physicians to focus their energies and attention on patient care rather than on continually increasing administrative and regulatory burdens. However, an IPA cannot survive without proactive physician involvement in the IPA's operations; to ensure operational success, administrative efficiency must be maintained but without sacrificing the quality of care provided to each enrollee.
MVMM continues to enhance its operations to ensure that providers have access to the industry's latest technological advancements. Making cutting-edge technology available to medical providers allows MVMM and its physician partners to maximize the efficiency of medical operations by further reducing the amount of paperwork and speeding the process of providing quality medical care. All Utilization Management (UM) decision-making is based solely on medical necessity, appropriateness of care and service, and existence of coverage, and that LMA does not specifically compensate practitioners or individuals conducting utilization review for issuing denials, nor does LMA offer incentives to encourage decisions that result in underutilization or denials.
